Ophthalmologists

Joseph P. Meurer, JR. M.D.
Dr. Meurer is founder and medical director of The Eye Group Associates PC.  He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the College of Idaho, received his medical degree from the University of Oregon Medical School, AOA.  He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Devers Eye Institute and is American Board certified.  His practice is currently limited to established patients.

Gary A. Grieve, M.D.
Dr. Grieve graduated from the University of Alberta, Edmonton and received medical training from Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton Alberta, and Ophthalmic training at University of Alberta.  He practiced in Alberta for 12 years, and was also a Clinical Lecturer at University of Alberta, and Chief of the Division of Ophthalmology at Misericordia Hospital. Dr. Grieve became an Oregonian in 1992 and worked with several reputable Ophthalmologists in the area before joining the Eye Group Associates in 1995. Dr. Grieve is a caring and thorough doctor who receives many referrals from his loyal patients, and enjoys talking with patients about their travel adventures.

Andrea Olsen D’Ostroph M.D.
Dr. D’Ostroph attended University of Portland where she received a B.S. in Biology, pledged Maxima cum laude and was Valedictorian. She attended a summer of Space Life Sciences Training Program at NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida before attending medical school at Oregon Health and Sciences University. She has received medical training from Legacy Emanuel Hospital and Health Center, Swedish Medical Center and Casey Eye Institute. Dr. D’Ostroph joined our staff in 2001 and is our office surgeon. She can be described as a caring doctor who is also very active in the community.

Optometrists

Avrel Nudelman, O.D.
Dr. Avrel Nudelman holds a B.S. in Biology from Lewis and Clark, and graduated from Pacific University School of Optometry in 1982. Upon graduating Dr. Nudelman joined Semler Optometry before joining us in 2000 following Dr. Semler’s retirement.  He is a member of the American Optometric Association, and strives to build relationships with his patients. Offering both knowledge and experience, he specializes in contacts lenses. Dr. Nudelman likes prescribing contacts because they have the ability to improve the quality of life of his patients almost instantly, as vision plays a large role in how people experience the world. He has a friendly demeanor and provides personalized attention.  He believes a medical professional should take the time to really listen to their patients’ needs and concerns.
